Description
Philippe Hersant pays tribute to the composer and virtuoso cellist Luigi Boccherini with a contemporary version of his quintet Musica Notturna delle strade di Madrid, a musical illustration of Madrid’s lively nightlife during the 18th century. Written for a chamber string orchestra, his Rondes de nuit navigates between past and present. Directed by the cellist Ophélie Gaillard, the Pucinella orchestra invites us to join the dance.
