Les concertos pour piano no 23 et 24 de Mozart, contemporains des Noces de Figaro, sont composés durant la saison 1785-1786, une époque faste pour le musicien. Brillant et éloquent mais aussi tendre et frivole, le piano résonne avec plénitude dans ces deux partitions, en particulier dans le poignant et célébrissime Andante du concerto no 23.
Auréolé du prestigieux Prix Mozart du concours international de Cleveland, François Chaplin nous propose une version délicate de ces deux partitions. Mozart’s Piano Concertos nos.23 and 24 were composed during the 1785-1786 season, at the same time as Le Nozze di Figaro: a prosperous period for the musician. Brilliant and eloquent but also tender and dizzy, the piano sounds with fullness, particularly in the poignant and extremely famous Andante of the Concerto no.23.
Granted by the prestigious Mozart Prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition, François Chaplin has recorded a delicate version of those two scores. His refined style blooms in a sensitive dialogue with of the Orchestre Victor Hugo conducted by Jean-François Verdier, and delivers the very beauty of Mozart’s music.
